Covid-19 Policy

Covid-19 seems to be the gift that keeps on giving and if you are reading this you are probably at a cross roads thinking is this going to actually affect MY wedding now!
This time is really tough and we are all being affected. I am so sorry that covid has taken the shine off planning your wedding. I am constantly being asked about my covid policy... what if we need to change due to a lockdown?
I have popped a few scenarios below to help us work through this together.

What's the plan...

#1 The Govt. say's WEDDINGS ARE OFF!
If we find ourselves in a snap lockdown and you legally can't be married then I will work with you to get you married as soon as physically possible within the next 3 months. I am more than happy to work with all your suppliers to find the next date where we are all available to take the stress out of the rescheduling!
If you decide that you want to move your wedding more than 3 months from your original date you may need to pay a re-scheduling fee and an increase in price to match the current pricing for the season.
#2 Weddings are ON but with Covid Restrictions
This one is a tricky one as if I can 'legally' marry you then I clearly want to marry you!
I can appreciate that some couples have family and friends stuck on the other side of a border. This sucks big time and sometimes it is your most favourite loved one that it is affecting. There may be limits on the dance-floor and mask requirements. You may feel like you have no other option than to move it further into the future as you just never saw yourself marrying without your mum, dad, brother, sister, aunty, uncle, cousin, long lost best friend...
In this scenario all monies paid can be transferred to the new date (pending availability) excluding the booking fee. The new wedding date will be charged at the current pricing and a re-schedule fee may apply to cover the changes.
The reason for this is fee, I will have lost income by turning down other weddings that would have gone ahead. I may need to also re-do the notice of intent to marry form (they are valid for 18months) and you will be taking up a new date that a future client can no longer book. Of course there are exceptions to the rule so this is always seen on a case by case basis.

#3 We just want to Elope...
I am sure that you know by now that I co-own Elope Australia. If you have booked a full wedding ceremony with Kate Haley Civil Celebrant you would be cancelling your current contract and entering into a new agreement with Elope Australia.
We've got this...
None of this is ideal, we all are feeling a bit deflated but together we can get through it. The best scenario is one that is shared with all your amazing suppliers. We are all trying to work to a common goal of getting you MARRIED so please reach out, keep us all in the loop with where your thoughts are at and we will work towards a resolution.
